Hi everyone! I’m SO EXCITED to share with you all that I was asked to be a guest designer on the Altenew Scrapbook Blog in June! I can’t even begin to tell you how thrilled and honored I am to have been asked by Altenew! I love their products and it was a pleasure to create three projects this month. I will be sharing all three layouts with you over the next week.
For my first layout I started with the Watercolor Doodles Stamp Set. I stamped a random background on a scrap piece of white cardstock using Black, Green, Purple, Cyan and Pink Inks. I love that this stamp set is meant to look abstract so you don’t need to worry about perfectly lining up the stamp set each time. After I had the stamping complete I cut the scrap piece of paper into triangles. I used a pink mist from my stash to add a splash of color on the background and positioned the triangles in the center of the layout. I machined stitched each of those triangles onto the background to be sure they were secure.
I then moved onto embellishing. My color scheme was based off the Altenew Our Family Scrapbook Collection, so I grabbed one of the Chipboard Words as my title. I also grabbed a few chipboard banners from the Live Your Dream Scrapbook Collection and a blue chipboard leaf from the same Chipboard Sheet. The other leaves on the layout are Stickers from the Our Family Scrapbook Collection. The Watercolor Butterfly Stickers were the perfect addition to the layout!
My photos are four photos that were taken when my dad was showing my son how to drive a riding lawn mower. This seems to be turning into a family tradition…my dad taught me and now my son. I added this journaling using my We R Memory Keepers Typecast Typewriter and a few enamel dots for the final touch!
Now you can take a look at my process video:
I’ll be back again soon to share my other projects. Thanks so much for spending part of your day with me!
