CTMH: March SOTM Choose Happy

I was inspired by two cards {this card by Danielle Flanders and this card by Maile Belles} this month and meshed them together. I used Glacier Cardstock for the base and cut a White Daisy Cardstock panel. I then used both of the doodily banners from March’s SOTM: Choose Happy in Pixie, Glacier, Thistle and Canary Exclusive Inks™.

The teeny tag is cut using the Art Philosophy Cricut® Cartridge and the sentiment is also from March’s SOTM in Black Exclusive Ink™. For the final touches I added Pixie Extra Thick Twine to the tag, a few Pink Glitter Gems scattered about, and a strip of Black Glitter Paper at the base of the card.

AHSC #96

It’s time for another Atlantic Hearts Card Sketch Challenge.

CTMH: Hopscotch

I started with a white card base and layered multiple B&T Duos™ from the Hopscotch Paper Packet. I cut the speech bubble in White Daisy Cardstock using the Artfully Sent Cricut® Cartridge. I added a couple strips of Black Glitter Paper, a little black stitching and Black Epoxy Bubbles for the final touches.

AHSC Now, I’ll be honest. My creative process struggled with this sketch. I don’t know why…the sketch is fantastic! The flower could be substituted for many things (stars, balloons, etc) but I think, as papercrafters, we can agree that sometimes we immediately have a great idea when we see a sketch and other times we have to let our imagination run a bit. As you can see from the sketch on the left, I widened my panels in the center of the card, used a speech bubble in place of the flower, and instead of using scalloped borders I used the glitter paper. I hope you’ll head on over to the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and play along this week!!

Thanks for stopping by!
