AHSC #116

I’m back again with another AHSC! If you look at my recent posts they are full of AHSC! I promise I have a lot more papercrafting projects to show you, but this summer has just been crazy busy and I haven’t had a lot of opportunity to get my blog up to date on all the artwork I’ve completed.

Here’s the sketch:

Here’s my card:

AHSC: Rain or Shine

I started with a white card base and stamped multiple clouds from the Rain or Shine Stamp Set in Whisper Exclusive Ink™ in first and second generation. I then layered Babycakes (retired) B&T Duos with a little stitching. I then fussy cut the sun, stamped in Canary Exclusive Ink™, from the same stamp set. I layered another cloud using Thin 3D Foam Tape, added a little stitching and Clear Sparkles to give the illusion of rain. I debated on what to do with the sentiment…Whether or not to stamp it on the face of the card or stamp it inside?!? I still don’t know how I feel about it, BUT I knew I didn’t want to start over so this is how it ended up!

AHSC #114

I’m back again with another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

AHSC #114

I started with a white card base and added a layer of Black Cardstock. I then grabbed two patterned papers from my stash (sorry, don’t know the brand name!) and die cut them with a scallop border die. I had originally tried to cut it so I had a straight border but (by user error) it didn’t cut straight. When I reloaded it into my Big Shot it cut slanted but I liked the look so I went with it!

I then grabbed another scrap piece of Black Cardstock and a red color from my scrap cardstock stash (again, I’m unsure of the brand) and cut two die hearts. The cute little “Hello” with a heart on the tail was cut in black cardstock using an American Crafts, Cottage Living, die. For finishing touches I added a couple strips of Black Shimmer Trim, Mini Staples, & a bow made of Baker’s Twine.  (Note: I’m fairly certain the scallop border die and heart dies are American Crafts/Amy Tangerine as well. I throw away the packaging once they are opened so I have no label to reference)

Now head over to AHSC to submit your entry!
