Hello Spring | The Cut Shoppe

Hi friends! I’m back with you today to share a new layout that was recently on The Cut Shoppe Blog using the Up & Down Background Cut File & the Spring Fever Cut File.

I cut the Up & Down Background Cut File on white cardstock and then stamped the cardstock with the stamp set from the Pinkfresh Studio Dream On Collection. I made sure to use an archival ink because I wanted to add watercolor to the stamped images.

After the watercolor was dry I started embellishing my layout. I positioned my photo along with patterned papers & the embellishments from the Pinkfresh Studio Felicity Collection and butterflies from Maggie Holmes Chasing Dreams Collection,

This is just a photo of me lounging in our hammock on a warm Spring day. I don’t know how you feel, but I feel like this was the LONGEST WINTER EVER! I’m normally a fan of cold, rainy days, but this year I think I’m going to soak up as much sunshine as I can get. Or at least until it gets too hot! HA!

My title is cut in bright pink cardstock using the Spring Fever Cut File. I then started adhering everything to the yellow cardstock background. I used a lot of fun foam and pop dots on both of the cut file images to add depth and shadows. I added my journaling using the We R Memory Keepers Typecast Typewriter and cut it into 3 strips.

Now you can take a look at how my process video to see how this layout came together.

I love the bright Spring colors on this layout and am really happy with how it turned out! Remember to head to The Cut Shoppe Etsy Store to check out all of the cut files! Thank you so much for spending part of your day with me!

Hey there friends! I’m back today with a layout for The Cut Shoppe using the Gallery Wall Cut File.

12x12 scrapbook layout using The Cut Shoppe Gallery Wall Cut File & the Pink Paislee Paige Evans Pick Me Up Collection.

I started in Cricut Design Space by “Slicing” apart the cut file and resizing the images so the frames would fit my 2.5 x 3.5″ photos. I then cut the images on a few different 6×6 Patterned Papers from the Pink Paislee – Paige Evans – Pick Me Up Collection.

Before adhering my photos to the layout, I added a splash of color using Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Ink and the packaging technique. I wanted to mimic a true gallery wall on my layout so I positioned all of the images in the same design as the cut file.

Embellishing was a bit of a challenge because the layout was already so busy with all of the bright colors from patterned papers. I grabbed a few Die Cuts and Stickers from the Pink Paislee – Paige Evans – Pick Me Up Collection and scattered them around the page. For final touches I used gold machine stitching through a few of the cut file images.

This layout come together pretty quickly, so if you’re short on time using a large cut file is the perfect way to finish a layout in one sitting. Remember to visit The Cut Shoppe Etsy Store to check out all of the cut files!
