Hey friends! I shared this layout yesterday on the Hip Kit Club’s Facebook page! Grid designs are one of my absolute faves and the products in the 2016 October Kits made it so easy to embellish!

I started with an American Crafts textured white cardstock base from the Cardstock Kit. I then grabbed multiple Project Life cards from the Project Life Kit. I knew I wanted to highlight all of the fun designs on the cards this month and I thought a grid design would be a perfect way to do so!

A majority of the cards were white with text or some type of design and I was worried they would get lost on the white background. So I painted the white cardstock with the Shimmerz Crushed Coral Texturez from the Color Kit along with the Shimmerz Great Fruit Creameez that was in the September 2016 Color Kit.

I positioned the cards on the cardstock and started embellishing. I added multiple pieces of ephemera from the Dear Lizzy – Saturday ephemera pack, a rubber charm from the Pinkfresh Studio – Indigo Hills Collection and a wood veneer frame from the Honey I’m Home Collection which is all included in the Main Kit. I also grabbed multiple pieces from the We R Memory Keepers – Honey I’m Home ephemera pack and a chipboard arrow from the Simple Stories – Posh Collection which is included in the Embellishment Kit. For final touches I added a few enamel dots from the Project Life Kit.

I wanted to play a little more on the fall theme that I have going on with the layout so I added multiple leaves from the Hip Kit Club Exclusive “Leaves” Cut File designed by Kim Watson!

Hey crafty friends! I’m back again with another layout for Hip Kit Club using the 2016 October Kits!

I started with one of the Simple Stories-Posh pattern papers that is included in the Main Kit. I loved, loved, loved the colors included on this pattern paper but I need a large solid area for my photo. So I cut apart the pattern paper and added in one of the dark cardstock papers from the Cardstock Kit. My photo has a sepia tone so I knew having a dark bold background would help the photo pop off the page!

Once I had the paper pieced together I started working on my photo mat. I grouped a project life card from the Project Life Kit with a scrap piece of white cardstock along with a layer of vellum from my stash. This photo was taken last weekend on a trip to the pumpkin patch. Fall is my favorite time of year! I love all of the fall activities, the cooler weather, the changing of the leaves, and just the colors that are all around. Fall in Indiana is really beautiful and I’m so thankful to live in an area where the seasons change!!

Once my photo mat was complete I started arranging clusters on either side of the photo. I used quite a few pieces from the We R Memory Keepers-Honey I’m Home sticker sheet and gold glittery enamel dots from the Project Life Kit. I also used a few pieces from the WRMK- Honey I’m Home ephemera pack and a gold foiled chipboard feather from the Simple Stories-Posh Collection which is included in the Embellishment Kit.

For a little more texture and pops of pink I used the Leaves Cut File designed by Kim Watson along with the Crushed Coral Texturez that is included in this month’s Color Kit. The Texturez is a texture paste that has little beads of shimmer. It really does have amazing texture and is a BEAUTIFUL color! I wanted to add a little more interest to the leaves so I splattered the leaves with Great Fruit Creameez which was included in the 2016 September Color Kit. One thing that I have found month after month is that the HKC Color Kits complement each other so well! If you are looking to build up your mixed media stash with products that coordinate beautifully then the HKC Color Kits are for you!

After I had all the little details put together I added my title from the Pink Paislee/Paige Evans-Take Me Away Phrase Thickers included in the Main Kit. I absolutely love all the pretty items that are included in this month’s kit! They are most definitely swoon worthy!
