Sneak Peek!!

Today I have a sneak peek into some of the new products that will be available in the Spring/Summer 2014 Idea Book {2/1/2014}!!

CTMH: Ariana & Timberline

Let me start with the paper….There are a total of SEVEN new collections in the new Idea Book, and this card features two of those new paper packets!! The woodgrain comes from the Timberline Paper Packet, and the green pattern paper comes from the Ariana Paper Packet.

Now the floral stamp set…this stamp set is a new hostess exclusive stamp set, A Mother’s Love. That is another great perk of being a hostess…exclusive and discounted stamp sets!! The sentiment comes from an oldie but a goody, A Friend Like You Stamp Set*. The inks used for this card include: Petal Exclusive Ink®*, Smokey Plum Exclusive Ink®, Olive Exclusive Ink®, and New England Ivy Exclusive Ink®.

Using a Corner Rounder to round off the edges and adding a Natural Hemp* bow completes this rustic card!

This card is based off the current sketch at the Retro Sketches Challenge, and is linked to their blog for the most current challenge!! And….since this card is made with NEW product from the Spring/Summer 2014 Idea Book it also fits in great with the current challenge at Addicted to CAS.

Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to check back soon for more sneak peeks into new CTMH products!!

Mojo Monday

The sketch today comes from Mojo Monday.

CTMH: For Always #projectaday

I altered this sketch slightly by rotating it. Starting with a white card base, I added a layer of Black Cardstock.Using the In The Background Stamp Set, Versamark®, and black embossing powder I created the shiny chevron design. Using the stamp set from the For Always Workshop On The Go® Cardmaking Kit {retired} I  stamped the sentiment and banners in Versamark® and once again used black embossing powder to create the shine on a layer of Whisper Cardstock.  The scallop was made by double layering Whisper Cardstock and Black & Grey Glitter Paper using an EK Success Punch.  Next I added a layer of patterned paper from the For Always Paper Packet {retired} and also a skinny strip of the Black & Grey Glitter Paper at the base of the patterned paper.

Using Honey Cardstock, the Art Philosophy Cricut® Cartridge, and a few Clear Sparkles these flowers were easily created and add a great pop of color to this card!!

The black, white, and grey combo and the little pop of color on this card makes it perfect for any celebratory occasion!!

With the multiple layers on this card it also is perfect for day #9 {use layers} of the Project A Day Challenge! I’m running slightly behind on the Project A Day Challenge so be on the look out for another post soon!!!
