I’m back again with another card for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!

I started by rummaging through my stash of scrap papers and came across this black floral paper, which I think is from Basic Grey. Once I had the paper adhered to the white cardstock panel I added a couple stripes of grey washi tape from my stash. The flower comes from a long retired CTMH stamp set, Friendship Blessings. I stamped the flower image twice and then colored it using gelatos. Once I had the flower the shade I wanted I attached it to the card panel using a bitty brad. The tags at the top are from the True To Life Stamp Set, once again colored using the same gelatos, and attached using the Mini Stapler. I made sure to stamp all of the images in Archival Black Exclusive Ink™ so the ink wouldn’t run when I added the mixed media. For the final touch I added a doodled outline using a Journaling Pen around the edge of the panel.

AHSC #140

I’m back again with another sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge! I think my creative mojo has disappeared with the busyness of the holiday season! I’ve been on a scrapbooking kick lately and for some reason cards have just been really tricky for me these past few sketch challenges. But I’m not one to back away from a papercrafting challenge so I went into my craft room and this is what I came up with.

For my card, I started with a white cardstock base and added a layer of light pink paper from my stash. Before adhering the pink paper to the card base, I ran it through my Big Shot using a Lifestyle Crafts dry embossing folder. With the magic of Design Space and the attaching/slicing feature I was able to use a couple CTMH Cricut® cartridges to create the tag for my card. The actual tag is from the CTMH Artbooking Cricut® Cartridge and is cut on the same cardstock as the base of my card. Before I cut the tag I strategically placed 3 strips of washi where the “hi” sentiment, from the CTMH Artfully Sent Cricut® Cartridge, would cut. I then backed the sentiment with a small piece of Black Glitter Paper. Next I messy splattered a little Heidi Swapp Black Color Shine and added baker’s twine to the hole on the tag. Once the tag was adhered I added a few Flamingo Dots for the final touches.
