Welcome to the Damask Divas’ Chalk It Up Blog Hop!!

I am so excited about this month’s blog hop! We are featuring one of the NEW paper packets from the NEW Annual Inspirations Idea Book!! The Chalk It Up Paper Packet is a fun paper packet that has a school theme, but is versatile enough to be used for other scrapbook pages, cards or any papercrafting project!!! My scrapbook page is based off this sketch from Page Maps.

I started with a {NEW} Flaxen Carstock base and added 2 strips of B&T from the {NEW} Chalk It Up Paper Packet on the left edge. Using the Artbooking Cricut® Cartridge, Smoothie Cardstock, Lagoon Cardstock, and Black Cardstock I cut the poloroid frames. {How perfect are the “ABC” & “123” poloroid frames?!?! Love that they fit right in with the theme I have going on!!} I also added different Chalk It Up B&T Duos™ under a few of the poloroid frames. I used the {NEW} Chalk It Up Workshop On The Go™ Stamp Set & the School Years Stamp Set with Archival Black Exclusive Ink™ to add a little flair to the frames. The title of the page is from the {NEW} Chalk It Up Chipboard Complements and I also added a couple {NEW} Chalk It Up Assortment Stickers throughout the layout. The little journaling tag, on White Daisy Cardstock, is also part of the Chalk It Up WOTG Stamp Set. I added a little extra doodling with my journaling pen, and attached it to the layout using the {NEW} Mini Stapler {<—one of my absolute faves of all the new products!!!}

You’ve probably noticed all of the new products listed above, but here is the great part!!! I saw this sketch from Clean & Simple Stamping and knew it would be perfect with July’s SOTM, Circus Alphabet!

I made this simple 4×4 card using White Daisy Cardstock and Laughing Lola B&T. I stamped the letters from the Circus Alphabet in Archival Black Exclusive Ink™ for the sentiment and used the new ShinHan™ Touch Twin™ Markers {that will be released in the 2014-2015 Annual Inspirations Idea Book on August 1, 2014} to color in the letters. I added a bow of Baker’s Twine Neutral Metallic Assortment and a few Clear Sparkles to finish the card. I wasn’t anticipating using the sparkles, but I had smudged my inky finger on the White Daisy Cardstock so I had to cover up my oops!
