The sketch I’m using today is from The Deconstructed Sketch.

Here is my card:

This post is going to be short and sweet today because this entire card was created using the Workshop On The Go® Laughing Lola Scrapbooking Kit. You read it right!!! ALL of the papers, stamped images, and hemp are included in the kit.

The only add ons are the Black Pigment Ink available in the Basic Exclusive Inks® Mini Pigment Pads Set and the Clear Detail Embossing Powder to add the shine to the flower.

When I saw this sketch I knew it would also work perfect for the current Heart 2 Heart Challenge, Lace. When I think of lace my mind automatically goes to the frilly, doily kind of lace, BUT there are multiple definitions for lace including what I did on this card with the hemp. So this card is a double feature. It is entered into both The Deconstructed Sketch Challenge and the Heart 2 Heart Challenge.

Today’s sketch comes from The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge.

My card:

Starting with a white cardstock base, I used a Lifestyles Crafts dry embossing folder to add the texture polka-dots.  Adding a layer of Outdoor Denim Cardstock, I added a stitched border and tore the bottom of the cardstock. Close To My Heart’s cardstock is all white core cardstock, meaning underneath the color is a white base. So when you sand or tear the cardstock it will leave a white border (as pictured above) I stamped my sentiment from the 4 My Friend stamp set in Outdoor Denim Exclusive Ink® on a layer of White Daisy Cardstock. To give a finished look to the card I added a strip of Slate Polka-Dot Washi Tape.

Not only is the card entered in The Sweet Stop’s Challenge, but it was purposefully made for my in-laws. They were kind enough to stop by our house daily to feed our cat, and to pick up our mail while we were in Florida visiting Disney World last week!!  We are so incredibly blessed to be surrounded by such a loving, caring family!!!
