This is my first blog hop, and I’m so excited!! This month we are featuring the Ivy Lane Paper Packet, which is one of seven new paper packets in the Spring/Summer 2014 Idea Book!!!! Being the mom of a boy I very rarely get to use pretty pink paper on my scrapbook pages….EXCEPT WHEN IT COMES TO VALENTINE’S DAY!

Remembering Warmer Days

I’m kicking off 2014 with a scrapbook layout and a 3D project.

CTMH: Sarita~ Created by Kelly Janes {CTMH Independent Consultant}

This scrapbook page was made using the Sarita Paper Packet*. I started with a Desert Sand Cardstock base, adding a layer of Outdoor Denim Cardstock, and then a layer of Sarita B&T paper. The B&T paper used on this page are once again cut from the SAME SHEET of paper since Close To My Heart’s B&T Duo®’s are double sided. Finally, I added my two photos {from our January 2012 cruise…. proving I am WAAAAY BEHIND ON MY SCRAPBOOKS!} matted in Colonial White Cardstock.

 I started next with the embellishments {which in my opinion are the most important part of any scrapbook page}. You may notice first that there are Aqua Dots randomly placed around the page, and I added Slate Striped Twist Ties above and below the photos. I also added a pennant of Sarita B&T paper in the upper right hand corner of the page with a layer of Lagoon Houndstooth Washi Tape {LOOOOVVVEEE Washi Tape} and a word charm from the Base & Bling Word Accents {which is on the Retiring Items List} . The title of this scrapbook page was cut in Lagoon Cardstock and Outdoor Denim Cardstock using the Artbooking Cricut® Cartridge and CCR to weld the letters together. {Scrapbook page inspired by this sketch}

The next project was made using the Chantilly Paper Packet {retired} and the paper gets it shape from the Artiste Cricut® Cartridge. This 3D card holder may look familiar from a previous blog post…If you missed that blog post you can view it by clicking here.

Scrapbooking is my first papercrafting love so this club was a lot of fun for me! I love making cards, but I love the memories that are involved in scrapbooking. Just looking at these pictures and remembering the fun that we had on this cruise…I love being able to capture that on paper!

{*Note: All the paper used to make the scrapbook page is included in the Sarita Paper Packet except for the Desert Sand Cardstock}
