Sending Love

Today’s sketch comes from the Just Us Girls Challenge.

Starting with a White Daisy Cardstock base I added a B&T Duo® from the Laughing Lola Paper Packet. I then added a thin strip of Black & Grey Glitter Paper at the base of the B&T Duo®. Next taking 3 pieces of Black Cardstock I stamped my images in Versamark® and heat embossed the images using white embossing powder. After my images were heat embossed I went back over the cardstock with White Daisy{Pigment} Exclusive Ink® and a Round Sponge to create a chalkboard look.

My stamped images come from a variety of Close To My Heart My Acyrlix® Stamp Sets. The bicycle comes from the School Years Stamp Set. The dotted image that gives the card it’s motion comes from the Sightseer Stamp Set. I also added a few sequins to aid in the motion of the card!! The sentiment comes from the Lifting Spirits Stamp Set and the polka dots & the hearts on the wheels of the bicycle come from the It’s Your Day Stamp Set {retired}.

The current theme at The Paper Players Challenge is the chalkboard technique so this card is also linked to their blog!!

This also rounds up Day #6 {polka dots} for the Project A Day Challenge!!

  1. Great card! I love the chalkboard look here and that glittery paper peeking out at the bottom. Thanks for joining us at Just Us Girls!

  2. I having been eyeing this chalkboard challenge too…and hope to find sometime to ply along. You did a fabulous job with your card…love that the dots does give your card the idea of motion. Thanks for joining the girls and I over at Just Us Girls this week!

    • Thank you so much, Nancy, for those nice compliments!! It was the first time I’d ever used the chalkboard technique and it really is a lot of fun!! The inspiration from the Just Us Girls design team was fantastic, and I had so much fun playing along with this great sketch!!!
