I’m really feeling this sketch from Sketch~N~Scrap with the crazy winter blast of snow and freezing temps (-40 degrees!!!) that hit our area this past week!
My take on the sketch is a slightly non-traditional, but it’s a card none the less!
All of the paper, including the cardstock, come from the Frosted Paper Packet {while supplies last} and this is a great project to use up scraps you may have lying around from previous projects. I started with a 4×8 inch piece of Colonial White Cardstock, and cut a 2 inch circle out toward the top of the cardstock for the neck of the bottle to slide through. I used a corner rounder on the two edges at the top of the cardstock. I then took a bone folder and scored a line creating the fold and began stamping.
All of the stamps {snowflakes and the sentiment} come from the Frosted Workshop On The Go® Cardmaking Kit {while supplies last}, and are stamped in Twilight Exclusive Ink®. I wanted the snowflakes to be less pronounced on the card so I used the second generation stamping technique in the same color ink. I also used a sponge dauber and Twilight Exclusive Ink® to give definition to the individual pieces of patterned paper.
The bow {my favorite part of this card!!} is cut using the Artiste Cricut® Cartridge!! It is so simple to cut and fold together…just add a couple dabs of Liquid Glass and your set!! I added a Clear Sparkle to the center of the bow to give it a finished look, and added a couple Small Clear Sparkle Flourishes to the card also just to give it a little more bling!!
Who doesn’t love a nice glass of wine, and this is a perfect gift to take to any type of gathering to give to the host(ess)!! It would be so simple to alter this card for any occasion….just switch it to a birthday theme, Fourth of July theme, etc, etc, etc the possibilities really are limitless!
This also completes day #8 {winter theme} of the Project A Day Challenge!!
