I’m back again today with another Mother’s Day card! This card is based off the Retro Sketches Challenge #114.
I started by adding a layer of B&T Duo™ from the Timberline Paper Packet to a white card base. I next added a strip of dark purple cardstock with some stitching from my handy-dandy craft sewing machine. (One of my very first purchases [10+ years ago] from CTMH included a packet of textured cardstock, and I’m fairly certain that this dark purple is from that stash!! Yes, I am a papercrafting hoarder! I save all scraps…this just proves you may never know when you will use it!! )
I next grabbed my White Daisy Carstock and started stamping the flowers, leaves, and sentiment from the A Mother’s Love Hostess Exclusive Stamp Set. I used Petal Exclusive Ink™ {retired}, Smokey Plum Exclusive Ink™, Garden Green Exclusive Ink™ {retired}, and Olive Exclusive Ink™ to create the flowers and sentiment. If you look closely at the edge of the flower boxes you will notice a little distressing on the paper. I used an Edge Distresser to create that effect, and it help the card fit right in with the rustic theme this card displays. Adding a few Black & Grey Epoxy Bubbles and the card was complete.
I really do hope all the mommies out there enjoy their day!! Being a mom is absolutely the most special club I have ever been a part of!
