I had a long weekend this weekend, but for some reason I couldn’t get my crafty mojo going! I have a lot of ideas burning in my mind, but I couldn’t seem to get myself away from Pinterest and Bloglovin’! With the deadline quickly approaching for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge, I finally convinced myself to get upstairs into my craft room and get to it!
Here is the sketch for this week’s challenge.
For my card I used the Pathfinding Paper Packet and added a little Gold Shimmer Trim {Love all of the Shimmer Trims! The glitter doesn’t flake off and it is adhesive backed}. Instead of using a tag like the sketch shows I cut two leaves from the Artbooking Cricut® Cartridge. The underneath layer is cut in Barn Red Cardstock and the top layer is cut in gold foil paper. {I’ve previously mentioned that when we purchased our home the previous owner was a paper collector. She left behind drawers and drawers of paper and this gold foil paper was included. I have no idea who made it or where it came from but it’s awesome. I love the shine!!}
I ran the gold foil paper through my Big Shot with a Lifestyle Crafts dry embossing folder. I then added a sentiment from an upcoming Stamp Of The Month {Be on the lookout for future projects using that stamp set} in Barn Red Exclusive Ink™. Oh, and I also rounded the edge of one of the corners of the card. Violà! Card complete!
Thanks for stopping by!!

What a pretty, textured leaf! And I love that sentiment. Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches this week!
Thanks Amy!
What a great treasure you found in that gold paper! Perfect way to use it too. Glad you joined us this week at FMS!
Thanks Jennifer! We have built-ins in a couple of the upstairs bedrooms and when I opened those drawers I about cried! LOL! Well…maybe not cry, but I definitely squealed!! haha!!
