Yesterday was World Card Making Day!!! Today I’m celebrating by participating in the Retro Sketches Challenge! There challenge this week is a little bit different because you can chose any sketch from their archive. I chose sketch # 34 from October 20. 2012.
I started with a White Daisy Cardstock base and used my Corner Rounder to create the scallop edge <— remove the shield, flip the punch upside down, punch, and line up the scallops as you move along the edge of the paper—> on a B&T Duo from the Seaside Paper Packet. Then I grabbed another piece of White Daisy Cardstock and stamped the flower images using the future November Stamp Of The Month in multiple inks. {Glacier Exclusive Ink™, Pacifica Exclusive Ink™, Blush Exclusive Ink™ [retired], Hollyhock Exclusive Ink™, Flaxen Exclusive Ink™, Sweet Leaf Exclusive Ink™ [retired], and Canary Exclusive Ink™} The sentiment and banner are both from the Funky Blossoms Stamp Set. To finish the card I scattered Clear Sparkles. I’m sure you noticed I altered the sketch slightly…I switched the flower grouping from the bottom of the card to the top, but that is why I enjoy using sketches!! They are meant to be interpreted in your own unique way!
Thanks for stopping by!!
