Hey friends! I have my final layout to share with you today as the March Guest Designer for Spiegelmom Scraps.
I came across these 3 photos of my son when he was a baby and they immediately pulled at my heartstrings! My mom snapped these photos of him playing in the dandelions when he was about 17 months old. I knew the Sunflower Fields Sequin Mix would be perfect to pair with these photos that have so much green & pops of yellow!
Then I went looking into my stash to find papers to match and came across the Crate Paper – Maggie Holmes – Bloom Collection. I grabbed a woodgrain patterned paper from the Bloom 12×12 Paper Pad to use as my background. I wanted to add more detail to the background so I grabbed white & pink acrylic paints to add splatters. I fussy cut a few florals from one of the patterned papers from the same paper pad and positioned the flowers in a vertical fashion in the center of the background.
I cut a couple butterflies in a light pink cardstock, and I also cut very intricate leaves/branches from the Bloom & Butterflies FREEBIE Cut File using vellum & another sheet of patterned paper included in the Bloom 12×12 Paper Pad. I tucked those branches randomly throughout the layout to help balance the design.
Then it came time for my title and I struggled a bit finding something that would work. I ended up deciding on “My Favorite Bloom” using the puffy stickers from the Bloom Collection.
Then for final touches, I added all of the colors from the Spiegelmom Scraps Sunflower Fields Sequin Mix.
Now you can take a look at how my layout came together!
I want to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to Jody from Spiegelmom Scraps for reaching out to me and asking me to guest design. It has been so much fun creating these layouts using the gorgeous Sequin Mixes.
