Hey there friends! I’m so excited to be returning for the Altenew October 2019 Stamp/Die/Stencil new release! If you’ve started the hop from the beginning then you would have come from Zinia Redo’s Blog. If you’re just starting here, WELCOME! You can make your way around the entire hop by clicking the link at the bottom of my post.
I created two projects using the great products from this new release. I was definitely in a Fall mood when I was making my projects so you’ll notice they both have a Fall feel!

For my first project I cut the leaves from the Dot Botanicals Die Set a variety of green cardstocks. I printed a large photo in a circular shape and adhered it to my white cardstock background. I knew I was going to create a wreath shape with the die cut green leaves but I wanted to add a bit more detailing to the layout.

I grabbed the Dot Botanicals Stamp Set and grey ink to add a bit more interest the the background. It’s very subtle, but you can see it peeking out from behind the die cut leaves.

After the stamping was complete, I adhered the die cut leaves and added green machine stitching around the wreath. I also added butterflies from the String Art Butterfly Die. Take a minute to look at how fun this die is!!! It’s so unique! I love that the holes for the stitching are created for you just by running it through your die cutting machine! I wanted to use the butterflies as embellishments so after the stitching was complete I fussy cut them and added them around the wreath.

Then came the title. Where was I going to put it?! I decided to go with a Wood Veneer Word and I also add a few wood veneer hearts (from the same package). I started altering the wood veneer by adding black paint to them, but I made a huge mess. Watch my video…you’ll see just what I mean. Black Paint ALL OVER my white cardstock background! I then switched to a black marker to color the wood veneer…so much easier! I also decided to add a little more to the title and used the Black Alphas from the Altenew Live Your Dream Scrapbook Collection so the title reads, Love Us.
Now you can see how this layout came together:
Very rarely will I even look at the die set if I don’t plan on getting the stamp set. I will never do that again. I have found the Dot Botanicals Die Set to be so versatile all on it’s own!
I started my second layout by using the same Dot Botanicals Die Set and cutting multiple leaf shapes in a variety of Fall colored cardstock. I knew I wanted to create a vertical design, so I positioned all of the die cut leaves down the center of a white cardstock background. I added a lot of messy stitching in the same colors as the leaves on the background before I adhered the leaves.

I positioned my photos down the center of the leaves. They were all taken at a pumpkin patch so they fit the theme of the layout perfectly! I fussy cut a few sentiments from the Sticker Sheet from the Altenew Reflection Scrapbook Collection and added them between the photos.

For my title, I used the Black Alphas from the same Reflection Scrapbook Collection. For the final touches I added a sprinkling of enamel dots that are included in the Altenew Our Family Scrapbook Collection.

Now you can take a look at how this layout come together:
