CTMH: Pathfinding Papercrafting with Kelly Janes

My project this month is based off this sketch. Starting with a Champagne Cardstock base I used a Waterbrush {retired} and Chocolate Exclusive Ink™ to create a splash pattern on the cardstock. I then added a layer of B&T from the Pathfinding Paper Packet to the top of the layout followed by a chevron zipstrip. Next I added my photos. {My son is so little here! These photos were taken Fall 2011. He was only 3….where has the time gone?!?! This is why I love scrapbooking- I love going through the old photos- seeing and remembering these special moments.} The border along the top edge of the photos is from One-Way Borders Stamp Set in second generation Chocolate Exclusive Ink™. I then used a {retired} tag set for the journaling & title. The title was created using the Vogue Alphabet Stamp Set and Chocolate Exclusive Ink™. The border of tags along the bottom edge of the photos was cut using another B&T Duo™ from the Pathfinding Paper Packet using the Artbooking Cricut® Cartridge. The strip of hearts is another zipstrip {LOVE zipstrips and they are on every B&T Duo™ in every paper packet} I also added multiple Pathfinding chipboard Complements & Pathfinding Assortments throughout the layout for the final touches.

Welcoming Fall

I had a long weekend this weekend, but for some reason I couldn’t get my crafty mojo going! I have a lot of ideas burning in my mind, but I couldn’t seem to get myself away from Pinterest and Bloglovin’! With the deadline quickly approaching for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge, I finally convinced myself to get upstairs into my craft room and get to it!

Here is the sketch for this week’s challenge.

CTMH: Pathfinding

For my card I used the Pathfinding Paper Packet and added a little Gold Shimmer Trim {Love all of the Shimmer Trims! The glitter doesn’t flake off and it is adhesive backed}. Instead of using a tag like the sketch shows I cut two leaves from the Artbooking Cricut® Cartridge. The underneath layer is cut in Barn Red Cardstock and the top layer is cut in gold foil paper. {I’ve previously mentioned that when we purchased our home the previous owner was a paper collector. She left behind drawers and drawers of paper and this gold foil paper was included. I have no idea who made it or where it came from but it’s awesome. I love the shine!!}

CTMH: Pathfinding

I ran the gold foil paper through my Big Shot with a Lifestyle Crafts dry embossing folder. I then added a sentiment from an upcoming Stamp Of The Month {Be on the lookout for future projects using that stamp set} in Barn Red Exclusive Ink™. Oh, and I also rounded the edge of one of the corners of the card. Violà! Card complete!

Thanks for stopping by!!
