When I started this Card A Day Challenge I had my best intentions of staying on track with each card designated for each day, but apparently that isn’t my style. I’ve kind of been bouncing all over the calendar…picking whatever card I felt I wanted to make on that given day! Which is okay, since my only goal is to make 30 cards within 30 days. It doesn’t matter what order they are made in, right?!?
Here is my card for today and it also is entered into the Retro Sketches Challenge.
The Sketch:
My Card:
Starting with a traditional white card base I added a layer of Lagoon Cardstock rounding one corner of the card base and the colored cardstock with a traditional corner rounder. The heart overlay and frame are from the Artbooking Cricut® Cartridge using B&T Duos® from the Sarita Paper Packet. The banners are cut using B&T Duos® from the Sarita Paper Packet also, The sentiment is from the For Every Occasion Stamp Set (retired) in Outdoor Denim Exclusive Ink®.
What’s a card without a little bling?!? So I added three Clear Sparkles above the sentiment banner. The flower with the bling in the center is actually from the Base & Bling Floral Accents. The flower is silver, but it didn’t stand out quite as much as I wanted it to so I added white acrylic paint to the flower to help it stand out on the card. I also added Natural Hemp behind the flower and navy stitching to the edge of the Lagoon Cardstock.
This also makes the Use A Heart Card complete for the Card A Day Challenge!! The list of cards to make is narrowing but so are the days in September!!
