Lollydoodle Blog Hop

Welcome to the Damask Diva Lollydoodle Blog Hop!!

If you’ve come from Cydney Fowler’s blog, you are in the right place. If you have jumped here and just discovered our blog hop, feel free to check the list at Damask Divas blog to find the complete list of blog hop participants.

I love the fun, whimsy, girlish feel of the Lollydoodle Paper Packet, but being the mom of a little boy it can be challenge. I do have two sweet nieces and one of them just celebrated her 5th birthday, so I went immediately to this paper packet!!

CTMH: Lollydoodle

Starting with a traditional white card base, I added multiple layers of B&T Duos™ from the Lollydoodle Paper Packet. Next come the stamp sets!! And seriously, how adorable is that owl?!? It comes from the new Owls Stamp Set, and is paper pieced together using Cotton Candy Cardstock, Pear Cardstock, Slate Cardstock, and White Daisy Cardstock. The next stamp sets are two of my faves in the new Spring/Summer 2014 Idea Book. The banner is cut using the Artiste Cricut® Cartridge and comes from the Oodles of Doodles Stamp Set in Pear Exclusive Ink™. The sentiment comes from Belated Birthday Stamp Set {Yes, yes…I’m a bad aunt and am getting this birthday card to her a little late! But as the sentiment says on the inside of the card she is getting to celebrate her birthday longer now!!!} and is stamped in Cocoa Exclusive Ink™. To add a little flare to this card I added a few pink Flamigo Dots at the base of the B&T Duos™.

  1. This turned out super cute! I wish I had a sewing machine so I could make the stitches! That really adds to the design. Wonderful layout and fantastic paper layering on the owl!

    • Thank you, Sharon!! I do love my sewing machine!!! I have a small craft sewing machine, and love it!! It was cheap, easy to use, and doesn’t take up a whole lotta space; you should definitely look into getting one! 🙂

  2. It’s a-mazing what a little softness can do for a card. I LOVE the pink background circle that ties this whole thing together.- woot-woot! (and of course I think the REST of the card is awesome, too! 🙂

  3. This is so super CUTE!!! Love your take on the sketch and that owl is adorable!
Thanks for sharing and playing along with us over at Seize the Sketch!
